TOP THREE UNDERRATED TOURISTS DESTINATIONS IN THE US

Hi there! Ever wish to visit places in the US that are uniquely unpopular or underrated? You can't possibly have seen it all in the US? Well, there are chances that you've probably visited many must-visit places that are nearly impossible to cap off. However, add to that list the fascinating history of these three underrated tourist destinations in the US.

Though we struggled to narrow down our favorites across the country, we managed to select three from our experience traveling the country—so consider this your starting point for exploring.

#1 Target Pennsylvania for your next family picnic.

There is no place compared to Pennsylvania when it comes to outdoor adventure. The abundance of natural scenery in Pennsylvania makes the state a great place for outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, boating, camping, kayaking, fishing, etc.

Prominent places like Hickory Run State Park or rivers like the Youghiogheny River, Delaware water gap offer the perfect tourist unwinding you can ever wish for.

It shouldn't always be about Santa Monica Pier, Philadelphia tour, Hollywood walk of fame, or Hollywood sign hike. There are great lush forests, state parks, creeks, wetlands, and many open meadows in Pennsylvania to explore.

#2 Make it to the Chinese New year in Los Angeles.

While many people are familiar with Chinatown downtown Los Angeles, they don't know that they can actually celebrate the Chinese New Year there. If you visit Los Angeles during January and February, you may be here during the Chinese Lunar New year. In Chinatown, you have large outdoor celebrations centered around their central plaza—expect to see the unimaginable performing art there. Aside from the colorful confetti and the amazing performers, I find it exciting to see such a picturesque atmosphere under a forgiving temperature during the winter.

3. Fairbanks, Alaska

A trip to one of the coldest cities in the world may not sound like a dream destination for tourists. However, a unique feature for tourists to witness at Fairbanks in Alaska is seeing the northern lights. The United States offers a chance to see the northern lights, even in the coldest city in the world. The best time to see this phenomenon is between late August and late April; alternatively, if you want a truly different experience, go between mid-May and late July, where full-time sunlight is guaranteed.

Sharing is caring.
